If you were to do a simple Google search for something like, “how to become an entrepreneur” or “how to start a company” you would no doubt get millions of results.

It can be a little overwhelming to say the least. Where do you start? Who do you trust?

Hopefully, you have landed on this page because you want to start a Christ-led business. Thankfully for you, the Bible is filled with a treasure trove of knowledge about entrepreneurship and life in general.

Today I want to share with you 10 verses that will help you as an entrepreneur and a follower of Christ. This isn’t a catch-all, as there are many more verses that could be applied but I believe these 10 are crucial to your life as a Christian entrepreneur.

Here we go:

  1. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 ESV
  2. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7 ESV
  3. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. Proverbs 4:7 ESV
  4. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:12 ESV
  5. A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. Proverbs 10:4 ESV
  6. The sluggard does not plow in the autumn; he will seek at harvest and have nothing. Proverbs 20:4 ESV
  7. So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 ESV
  8. Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law. Proverbs 29:18 ESV
  9. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33 ESV
  10. Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. Joshua 1:7 ESV
